Job Overview
As a Maintenance Staff Member, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical systems and equipment are operational and properly maintained. All common areas will be kept clean, aesthetically appealing, and disinfected. Responsibilities
Walk floors, including roof checks, and report problems to supervisors. Follow all safety precautions while performing work. Maintain working relationships with building staff. Review and touch up paint in common areas; advise manager when paint is needed. Complete daily work orders as scheduled. Keep assigned equipment in good working condition. Perform occasional manual labor, such as lifting or moving heavy items, following safety procedures. Perform minor maintenance replacements and repairs in areas of carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, flooring, and other building repairs through daily scheduled work orders. Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency preferred. 2+ years of general experience in building trades, repair and replacement maintenance, or handy work. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Multiple language fluency is desirable. Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures. Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time; be able to reach overhead; have full range of mobility in upper and lower body. Work in various positions, including stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time, climbing stairs, and navigating the property/building quickly and easily as required. Climb ladders and work at heights above ground level (maximum 14 ft on A-frames and 21 ft on extension ladders). Work in different environmental working conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain, humidity). Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by means of spoken and written word. Maintain a valid Florida driver’s license. Compensation
Hourly: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour. Salary may be based on skills and experience. Benefits
