We are hiring a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to repair and maintain a wide range of construction and mechanical equipment, including trucks, trailers, bulldozers, excavators, motor graders, engines, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and more.
This position works on a swing shift schedule.
Responsibilities What You’ll Do:
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, providing cost‑effective, long‑lasting repairs.
Disassemble equipment using hoists and hand tools to access and replace defective parts.
Perform maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, trucks, shop equipment, and non‑mobile machinery across the company.
Complete routine services such as oil changes, greasing, fluid checks, filter replacements, and PM schedule upkeep.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, hydraulics, diesel and gas engines, transmissions, and drive trains.
Order parts and supplies; manage purchase orders, invoices, and computer‑based job functions.
Adjust and repair functional components and control systems.
Install specialized functional or structural parts as needed.
Test equipment performance after repairs.
Perform welding on broken parts and structural components.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Participate in required drug testing, medical exams, or physical agility testing.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license.
Previous experience repairing and maintaining construction equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, motor graders, trucks, trailer and conveyor systems.
