Summary of Job Duties The Administrative Specialist III is a joint appointment between the International and Global Studies Program (INST) and the Latin and Latin American Studies Program (LALS). 75% of this position is dedicated to INST and 25% to LALS.
Within the INST program, typical duties include: process all financial transactions for the program such as purchase orders, technology purchases, grant/gift administration, and travel expense reimbursement for INST faculty and guest speakers; course scheduling and processing of enrollment/override requests; assist with event logistics and promotion; assist with website maintenance and social media updates; and perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
Within the LALS program, duties include: process all financial transactions for the program such as purchase orders, technology purchases, grant/gift administration, and travel expenses for INST faculty and guest speakers; course scheduling and processing of enrollment/override requests.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance and the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships are essential.
This is a 100% in-office appointment.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
At least one year of specialized training in business management, business education, or a related field
At least two years of experience in a specialized or related field applicable to work performed
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
