Primary Objective The Insulation Installer will lay or replace insulation materials in buildings to control or maintain building temperature.
Duties/Responsibilities
Installs and replaces insulation in buildings and mechanical systems
Reads building plans and blueprints to calculate the quantity and type of insulation materials needed to fulfill job requirements
Clears and disposes of old insulation according to established safety guidelines
Loads and unloads insulation materials
Installs or sprays insulation in attics
Measures and cuts insulation to fit into walls, ceilings, and around pipes
Fastens insulation in place with tape, screws, staples, or fasteners as needed
Transports needed tools and equipment to jobsite
Follows company and industry safety guidelines and regulations
Ensures all installations follow guidelines and quality standards
Performs other related duties as assigned
About You
Extensive knowledge of insulation materials
Ability to follow instructions
Ability to use hand tools and power tools to install insulation
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills
Excellent communication skills
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Construction and Related experience preferred
Ability to work in confined spaces
Must be able to lift 35 pounds at a time
