Hydraulic Cylinder Mechanic – Applied Industrial Technologies
An experienced hydraulic mechanic will assemble, disassemble, and repair pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves. Diagnose problems, identify needed parts, and perform shop and field work. Test all items using written procedures.
Essential Functions
Repairs pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves.
Tear down pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves for repair.
Identify parts needed for repair.
Build new pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves.
Assist in machine shop as needed.
Test completed components according to written procedures.
Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
Record parts and materials needed and request new parts and materials as necessary.
Maintain a neat and orderly shop.
Hone and repair barrels.
Assist in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and controls.
Maintain test stands and equipment in accordance with ISO procedures.
Know and abide by environmental policies.
Weld as needed.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Three years of mechanic experience, Hydraulic experience preferred.
Attention to detail.
Ability to identify and correct conditions affecting employee safety.
Keep management apprised of work and backlog.
Ability to use cranes, and other heavy and light machines, and equipment.
