Requirements
High school diploma or GED Post‑secondary automotive training or equivalent experience At least two years of dealer‑level or large facility experience preferred ASE certification (or willing to obtain) Virginia State Inspection License (or willing to obtain) State Inspection License and ASE certification are a plus Unrestricted driver’s license and clean driving record Strong technical performance, physical dexterity, and stamina Positive attitude, professional appearance, great communication skills, and customer service orientation Basic computer and internet skills
Responsibilities
Diagnose issues based on experience, analysis, and testing Perform routine service inspections or tests and complete standard maintenance jobs Repair automobiles and light trucks as assigned Maintain cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs Ensure required documentation is complete and complies with regulations and standards Help maintain shop appearance and safety standards and ensure the shop runs efficiently by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general functions Follow all shop policies, procedures, safety, and environmental rules Attend all staff meetings, training, and educational classes as required Perform other duties as assigned
