What will you be doing?

Electrician will report into the Facility Maintenance Team. This individual installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems in commercial/industrial settings. This role requires interpreting blueprints, troubleshooting electrical issues using tools and code knowledge, and performing work independently without direct supervision.

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment including but not limited to switch gear, MCCs, and busducts.

Inspect and test electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.

Troubleshoot electrical systems to identify problems and make repairs as needed.

Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems.

Manage and maintain power generators, disconnects, and UPS systems.

Work with conduit bend and wire pulls; install conduit for wiring.

Work with electrical systems, machines, and tools; including their design, uses, repair and maintenance.

Familiarity with National Electric Code, electrical theory.

Familiarity with high‑voltage three‑phase circuits, generators, transformers and switch gear.

Ability to use various testing devices related to electrical and mechanical trades.

Answer emergency calls quickly, assess the safety of the situation upon first arriving at the scene, and provide directions to individuals affected by the electrical emergency to ensure their continued safety and comfort.

Comprehensive knowledge and experience of lock‑out/tag‑out program with regard to OSHA 29 CFR 19190.147 control of hazardous equipment.

Performs miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.

Participate in on‑call rotation as required.

Ensure compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Maintain accurate service documentation and complete required reports in a timely manner.

What will you need to be successful?

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Graduate of trade or vocational school in related field.

A current journeyman electrician license. Master electrician license preferred.

Minimum of 5+ years as a journeyman electrician, with demonstrated mastery of advanced systems.

Ability to install power systems: lighting, fire protection, security, and data network.

Ability to build and install control panels and provide maintenance to systems.

Ability to build and install switch gear, MCCs, and busducts.

Ability to manage and maintain power generators, disconnects, and UPS systems.

Experience using electrical single line blueprints.

Experience finding and repairing faults in electrical apparatus and circuits.

Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.

Ability to lead others in troubleshooting and emergency repairs.

Ability to develop and implement planned maintenance programs.

Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures.

Will be able and willing to respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; work weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.

Oral and written communication skills.

Customer service skills for internal customer base in manufacturing.

Standing and walking for extended periods.

Lifting and carrying: able to frequently lift 50‑75 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 150 pounds with assistance.

Bending, stooping, and kneeling as required.

Tasks involve repetitive motions with hands, wrists, and fingers.

Reaching required for high and difficult‑to‑reach areas.
