Wire Rope Assembler and Fabricator
CERTEX USA is seeking a detail‑oriented and skilled Wire Rope Assembler to join our team in Corpus Christi, TX. The role involves fabricating, inspecting, and assembling various rope products to meet high‑quality standards and customer specifications.
Job Type Full‑time
Position Overview The assembler/fabricator accurately identifies different diameters, constructions, and best possible applications for an array of products utilized in industries such as construction, energy, mining, crane operation, space and aeronautical, deep‑sea recovery and rescue. Items assembled may be constructed with wire, chain, or synthetic material.
Key Responsibilities / Essential Duties
Review, interpret drawings, blueprints, and capacity tables
Understand codes and specifications as outlined on order tickets
Calculate wire rope cut lengths, fitting requirements, and identify the appropriate equipment to produce all varieties of wire or synthetic rope and chain assemblies
Splice wire rope and fabricate chain slings
Operate industrial swaging machines, proof testing machines, and forklifts
Attach proper tags and labels to products
Maintain inventory records
Report defective or substandard material supplies or product
Handle shipping and receiving of goods
Maintain work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and organized manner and follow all safety guidelines
Assist with deliveries when needed
Required Skills / Abilities
Familiarity with industrial tools such as cutting machines, swagers, crimping tools, and winches
Proficient in math and reading
Time management skills
Accurate reading of a tape measure or digital micrometer
Minimum age 18 years
Persistent, energetic, and reliable
Other Requirements
Pass pre‑employment drug and alcohol screen and criminal background check
Provide valid documentation proving citizenship in accordance with I‑9 requirements
Display a professional and courteous attitude
Report to work at the designated start time
Willing to travel to various work sites or training as required
Willing to work overtime, nights, and weekends when necessary
Adhere strictly to safety requirements and procedures and comply with the company’s “Stop Work” policy
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as directed
Work in a team environment and assist co‑workers and supervisors with other duties as required
Education & Experience
Prior experience in construction, equipment, or oil industry preferred
Proficient in math and reading
Time management skills
Accurate reading of a tape measure or digital micrometer
Minimum age 18 years

Job operates in a warehouse environment
Full‑time position with standard work hours Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week
Minimal travel expected; may be required to travel for training
Physical Requirements
Significant physical effort and stamina to perform mechanical tasks
Lift up to 75 lbs routinely during daily operations
Clear vision (with or without corrective lenses); precise hand‑eye coordination for cutting, splicing, and attaching fittings
Use abdominal and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods
Bend, stretch, twist, or reach; use multiple muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects and make fast, repeated movements of shoulders, fingers, hands, and wrists
Keep fine motor skills for accuracy and safety
Stand, walk, bend, and stand during shifts
Frequent bending or crouching to work on machinery or fit wire ropes into place
Exposure to extreme heat or cold in warehouse or outdoor conditions in construction or rigging environments
Hear warnings or communicate effectively over industrial sounds
May encounter grease or metal dust
