Hiring: CNC Machine Operators.
Responsibilities
Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations and set up requirements.
Selects, aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders and shapers.
Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
Deburrs and cleans final part.
Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
Ability to use basic inspection equipment and techniques.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as basic blueprints and/or operation sheets.
Basic shop math skills to include the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to bend, stoop and stand for 8 - 12 hours a day.
Must be able to work rotating shifts.
