Position Summary The BSA Officer and Supervisor, is responsible for assisting and supporting the Vice President BSA Officer with day-to-day operation of the EDD Unit with a specialized focus overseeing Alternative Funds Administrators, EDD reviews, and all new customer prospects. The BSA Officer requires working knowledge of BSA/AML/USAPA/OFAC regulations and overall knowledge of banking products and services. Provides a strong learning environment to ensure new staff quickly become effective within the team. Assists with ensuring and creating efficient and effective processes.

What You’ll Do

Assists the VP BSA EDD Manager in the daily responsibilities of managing the EDD Team. Responsible for coaching and guidance of Specialists, fills-in for VP as needed, manages more complex customer reviews, maintains accurate procedures that meet Compliance goals and regulatory expectations. Provides quality control and oversight of EDD daily reviews. Participates in Team meetings.

Participate and opine on special projects and initiatives, as needed. This includes oversight of the Wintrust Funds Group Alternative funds, and new customer prospects escalated to EDD and coordinating timely reviews. Provides approvals for new Alternative Fund Administrators and perform annual reviews. Coordinates and conducts oversight meetings with banking partners. Responsible for development of these specialized procedures and workflows, and EDD team training for Alternative Funds.

Manages and coordinates the EDD escalations from the Team. Provides recommendations for resolution, including account closure for any case type regardless of escalation status. Provides guidance and support to business lines, corporate units and compliance officers.

Assistance with Bank prospects and coordinates documentation requests, reviews and timely response to help guide preliminary discover process. Ensure new prospects fall within the BSA Policy guidelines.

Qualifications

7-10 years of BSA and Banking experience.

Working knowledge of various laws, regulations and guidance as it relates to BSA, AML, and OFAC.

Strong communication, problem solving, training, and time management skills.

Experience supervising, managing or leading a team is desired.

CAMS certified or in the process of obtaining CAMS certification or other BSA/Fraud related certification.

A bachelor’s degree is preferred but sufficient subject matter expertise will be considered.

Compensation The estimated salary range for this role is $85,000-$110,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
