Learning Support Assistant (Term-Time Only)
Locations: John Ruskin College (Selsdon) and East Surrey College (Redhill).
Salary: £24,938 pro rata to Term Time only.
Contract: Term‑time‑Only, Established (salaried). A Sessional contract option is also available.
Hours: Part‑time, 3‑5 days per week between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm.
Responsibilities You will work with learners with a variety of support needs, including emotional and behavioural issues, learning difficulties, and disengagement from mainstream education, providing support across a broad spectrum of curriculum subject areas such as Art, Design and Media, Business & Professional Studies, Technology, Supported Learning, Hair & Beauty, Sports, Science and more.
Qualifications & Experience
Excellent communication skills.
Minimum level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy.
Competent IT skills – proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook.
Experience supporting students in a college or school environment.
Ideally, a qualification in providing learning support or willingness to obtain it.
