CPI Security is looking for a
Residential Installation Technician
based in Raleigh, NC who will install our state‑of‑the‑art home security solutions in residential and commercial settings. This individual will assess the customer's need, sell additional products and services, and work to a high standard of performance‑based income while providing valuable service to our customers.
What You'll Do
Servicing residential security systems accurately and efficiently
Meeting or exceeding performance goals on a consistent basis
Performing a walkthrough of the home to determine the optimal system configuration and identify up‑selling opportunities
Keeping the customer informed at all times of what the service process will entail, including whether walls will need to be drilled to run wiring
Connecting the in‑home system to our central monitoring system, activating the system, and performing a customer demonstration
Submitting billing and payroll paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
Ensuring safety and responsibility to avoid injury, property damage, or loss of unused materials
Providing exceptional customer service at all times
Consulting with management on issues or concerns
Cleaning up the work area thoroughly
Maintaining all company equipment, including truck, tools, and inventory
Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
What We're Looking For
High School diploma or equivalent; trade school or community college training in electronics/electrical/HVAC/technical is a plus
Strong sales skills, especially with up‑selling and closing abilities
Mechanical aptitude
Strong customer service skills
Commitment to safety
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
Professional appearance and demeanor
High energy, fun and positive attitude
Schedule flexibility and the ability to work weekends
Understanding of alarm systems (user interaction, troubleshooting, etc.) is a plus
Experience with alarm, cable installation, or telecom is a plus

$45,000 to $60,000
annual average earnings (hourly paid training and 100% uncapped commission)
