Job Description As a Shift Supervisor, you will manage daily operations to ensure production, safety, and quality standards are met. Your responsibilities include:
Tracking and directing all parts manufactured as needed for work orders.
Overseeing production rate of skilled labor, monitoring workflow, efficiency, and quality.
Issuing corrective action notifications for program areas that fail to meet quality or delivery expectations.
Evaluating and documenting personnel performance as required.
Maintaining housekeeping standards across the entire production area.
Supervising mold techs, team leaders, and machine operators on job duties related to productivity, quality, housekeeping, and safety.
Training new associates, evaluating progress during the 90‑day probationary period, and recommending discharge or retention.
Conducting counseling, written warnings, suspensions, and discharges for violations of plant rules.
Managing department employees, including vacation requests, time‑card verification, attendance monitoring, disciplinary action, accident investigation, and daily work assignments.
Ensuring accurate attendance records for all associates on shift and verifying time cards.
Preparing accident reports, investigating incidents, interviewing witnesses, and ensuring injured employees receive medical treatment.
Additional responsibilities include interpreting company policies, enforcing safety regulations, providing new employee instructions, scheduling staff, and resolving staff issues.
Required Experience, Skills, & Abilities
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience; supervisory experience preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to loud noise; hearing protection may be required.
Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move for equal amounts of time.
Preferred Experience, Skills, & Abilities
Proficiency in reading and writing English; understanding of spreadsheets.
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
