JOB SUMMARY:
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for electronically identifying, verifying, and transacting all products produced by various departments. The role involves investigating, identifying, and correcting discrepancies between inventory system records and physical cycle counts; updating computer system transactions for all physical movements, consumption, and inventory production; ensuring that all products transferred are correctly identified and quantified; and maintaining biological activity oversight of all transacted products to designated locations. Quality control over stored inventory is also required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Reconcile daily production and materials movements to contribute to 98% or greater inventory accuracy.
Serve as the shop floor key user of ERP and other inventory and production systems.
Perform inventory cycle counts daily and report data to the materials control department before shift end.
Perform quality checks on stored inventory and discard items that do not meet company standards.
Maintain and update records.
Prepare reports on price lists, inventory balances, and shortages.
Research the accuracy of product details and test new products.
Complete other tasks as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE OF
Good understanding of inventory control and transactions.
ABILITY TO / TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Must understand and follow all departmental safety rules.
Understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Have or obtain a forklift license.

RF Scanner
Forklift
Bar coding equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Have at least one year of experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing, or production facility.
Have at least one year of forklift experience and certification.
Logistics or supply chain background preferred.
Must be able to speak, read, comprehend, and write in English.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Capacity to work overtime as needed.
Excellent computer skills with an aptitude to learn complex ERP and other systems (Oracle).
Prior SAP or Oracle experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
Knowledgeable in manufacturing bills of materials and packaging specifications.
Must be a team player and able to take direction well.
Good vision (corrective lenses acceptable); central and peripheral vision in both eyes to detect objects or movement in the field of view.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS Physical Demands:
Standing, sitting, walking, using central and peripheral vision, hearing, speaking, bending/stooping, twisting neck and torso, reaching, holding, grasping, pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying raw material, finished product, tools, and machinery up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions:
Work indoors and outdoors; exposure to temperatures commensurate with outdoor seasonal temperatures.
