Summary of Position Operates forklift in a safe manner to stack and retrieve supplies and materials while maintaining inventory and ensuring production area organization and cleanliness.

Principal Responsibilities

Lift, stack, un-stack, and move utilizing safe practices with equipment

Make sure goods are stored in the correct area of a warehouse

Unload and load trucks from the warehouse

Load trucks ensuring loads are evenly and secured

Completes and submits Equipment Check List Form before utilizing any company equipment

Completes and submits written documentation as required

Maintain sanitation and housekeeping in the work area

Additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Must be eligible to work in the United States without a Visa sponsorship

Must be 18 years or older

Ability to effectively operate independently with minimal supervision

Willing to work a flexible schedule

Ability to read, comprehend and carry out simple instructions from oral instructions or written correspondence

Must be able to work in a cold/hot environment

Detail oriented and accurate

Ability to communicate with diverse personalities

Forklift certification. Basic knowledge areas include Safety Procedures; Truck Inspections; Storage and Exchange Points; Counterbalance Effect; Stability Triangle; Center of Gravity; Equipment Terminology; Attachments/Load centers; Battery Inspection; and Material handling including loading and de-stacking, unloading, and stacking of counterbalance, traveling Ramps, Trailers and parking.

Knowledge and willingness to perform all responsibilities of each position within the team

Physical Demands / Work Environment While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to stand; walk; use hands, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The work environment involves hazards, risks, or discomforts typical of working around or with machinery with exposed moving parts, arrant chemicals, heavy equipment, extreme heights, or abusive or hostile clientele and patients. Exposure to disagreeable weather conditions and extreme levels of temperature, ventilation, lighting, and sound is normal. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
