Position Purpose Warehouse associates are the foundation to our company’s success. They work actively, safely, and independently to maintain the efficient flow of products through our distribution process, while ensuring quality standards. As a Loader, Non-Formula, you will be transporting items into trailers using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts or by hand. The Loader, Non-Formula prepares pallets of outgoing freight for shipping and transports pallets while observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Responsibilities
Transports items to be shipped into the trailer with a forklift, pallet jack or by hand in the correct stop sequence, according to a predetermined loading plan.
Moves outgoing products from staging area to the loading dock with forklift.
Wraps pallets with cellophane, secures load/pallets and ensures shipping labels are in place as needed.
Locates the proper slot on the trailer for the order, sets it in place and secures the load when complete.
Removes empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to the proper area or receptacles.
Inspects empty pallets for damage, stacks and moves pallets with pallet jack or forklift to the proper storage area.
Performs general housekeeping duties and keeps warehouse area, loading dock and trailers clear and clean as required.
Follows all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines.
Ensures work area is safe and reports any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
Reviews work schedule, performs safety check on equipment, obtains supplies required to perform the work and prepares for operations.
Puts on all required personal protective equipment and safety gear.
Inspects empty trailers at the loading dock to ensure they are clean and clear before loading and takes appropriate action as needed.
Meets required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
Removes batteries requiring recharging, replaces with charged batteries and completes vehicle inspection checklist.
Assists order selectors and performs other similar duties as requested or assigned by supervisor.
Secures all equipment and completes all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience
Must be able to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position
Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift
Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift
Able to work in multi‑temperature environments, i.e., cooler, freezer and dry
Passes post‑offer drug test and criminal background check
Compensation Salary:
