Job Description VBS3 (Virtual Battle Space 3) Operator GDIT is seeking qualified candidates for Mission Training Complex Capabilities Support II (MTCCS II) program.

Meaningful Work and Personal Impact

Operate, integrate, fielded constructive simulation models in support of exercises and training in classrooms and work cells, and other related training locations

Maintain the existing training support packages that integrate training products, materials, and other pertinent information necessary to train in the Constructive‑Gaming environments

Responsible for the software and OS patch deployment, system performance monitoring, and security compliance

Integrate the Gaming and Virtual training environments and MTC fielded systems and capacity providing relevant formation‑centric training support for Soldier, Crew and Small Unit formations

Provide gaming‑based small event training that is doctrinally current, and operationally relevant to the user. Gaming and Virtual Training are run using the Army’s Games for Training (GFT) program, VBS3 and any potential follow‑on for GFT and related products. Training is focused on the crew through company level of operations although gaming may be the tool occasionally appropriate for larger collective events

Maintains records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness

Updates course documentation as needed to ensure timeliness and relevance

Participates in theater level exercise and special projects as required

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Education:

AA/AS in an IT‑related field or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and training

Experience:

4+ years of related experience; prior military or MTC experience (or a combination) highly desirable.

Required Technical Skills:

Demonstrated ability to provide instruction, lead training sessions, and present technical information clearly to military audiences.

Understanding of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) and collective training processes.

Comprehensive knowledge of VBS3 software and functional operations, including mission setup, triggers, scripting, and virtual terrain.

Working knowledge of VBS3/4 and the integration of DxTRS,

Knowledge of Army Warfighting Functions: Mission Command, Movement and Maneuver, Intelligence, Fires, Sustainment, Protection.

Ability to integrate virtual, constructive, and mission command systems for unified training environments.

Advanced knowledge of the principles and techniques of training program execution and simulation support.

Preferred Skills:

AFATDS, JDOCS, MCIS systems experience and knowledge

Wargaming experience JLCCTC‑MRF/WARSIM, and JCATS

Required Skills and Abilities:

Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to explain technical topics in non‑technical terms.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving capabilities.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team to support training audiences and senior leaders.

Effective time management with attention to detail.

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $25.63 - $33.73. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
