As a

File/Medical Records Clerk

you will be responsible for clerical duties including but not limited to filing, labeling, retrieving and scanning medical records.

Responsibilities

Distribute medical charts to the appropriate departments

File all patients medical records and information

Complete clerical duties including answering phones and responding to emails.

Retrieve patient charts

Organize charts according to the doctors schedules

File returned charts

Match lab work, operative reports and telephone messages with correct patient charts and deliver them to appropriate staff

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent qualification

Minimum 1-2 years experience in a similar role a plus but not required.

Proficient in MS Office

Knowledge of EHR preferred but not required.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

Team‑player with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Must have the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure or stress.

Have the ability to provide excellent customer service, communication, telephone and grammar skills.

Must be able to walk and stand for eight hours and be able to use a ladder to obtain files

Must be able to type and write legibly
