Job Title: Fitter
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled fitter to join our team in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in fitting and aligning materials according to detailed project specifications and will be proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret detailed drawings, schematics, and blueprints with precision.
Utilize tape measures and other measuring tools to ensure high accuracy.
Fit and align materials based on project specifications.
Perform light MIG welding to secure components effectively.
Collaborate with fabricators and welders to complete custom builds.
Inspect and verify dimensions and tolerances of assembled components.
Essential Skills
Prior experience as a fitter in an industrial or construction environment.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical documentation.
Proficiency in tape measuring and layout techniques.
Experience in MIG welding, specifically for light fabrication work.
Strong attention to detail and precision.
Reliable transportation and punctuality.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Basic knowledge of metalworking and fabrication techniques.
Certifications in welding or blueprint reading are a plus.

Work Environment Work in a sheet metal fabricating facility that is dynamic, albeit dirty and loud. Personal protective equipment is required, including steel toe shoes, work pants without rips or tears, ear plugs, and safety glasses. The shift runs from 7 am to 3:30 pm.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 – $25.00/hr.
