Responsibilities

Assist attorneys in determining case strategy

Gather relevant documentation from clients

Review and analyze case documents and prepare immigration applications

Assemble and organize filings with the government

Communicate with clients and foreign nationals regarding procedural and case processing issues

Manage case files and track status

Other duties as may be assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position

The salary range for this position is $49,000 - $74,000, based on experience and location. Dentons US LLP offers a competitive salary and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, profit sharing, short-term/long-term disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, paid holidays and discretionary bonuses.

Position qualifications

Bachelor's Degree (or associate's degree plus a paralegal certificate)

3-5 years of business immigration law experience

Excellent writing skills

Desire to work in a legal environment

Effective time management and handle multiple assignments simultaneously

Must have superior communication skills and be able to work in a team environment

Must have the ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure

Must have the ability to interact and work productively with all levels of Firm staff

Professional demeanor, attention to detail, and great organizational skills are essential

Strong verbal, written, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Strong computer technical skills and demonstrated ability to learn new software

Strong problem resolution abilities appropriately combining logic, analysis, and follow-through

Ability to maintain discretion and privacy with confidential matters and documents

Ability to recognize and comprehend facts and legal concepts

Ability to meet minimum billable hourly requirements

Ability to transport files, documents, and office supplies throughout the office

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, PDF creation tool(s), document management software, Intapp or other timekeeping software, Internet required

Excellent client service, and the ability to work overtime and travel as needed
