Position Summary The Operator, Depalletizer & Forklift reports to the Warehouse Manager and is based out of our Springdale, Arkansas location. This individual will be responsible for operating the palletizer and forklift associated with the line they have been assigned to in an efficient manner. Employee must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment with close attention to detail through many changes.
Training Shift : Monday-Friday; 6am-2:30pm
Shift : Night 2A Sun‑Tues 6pm-6am & Wed 6pm-12am. OFF Thurs‑Sat. This is a temporary to permanent position contracted through a temporary agency.
Primary Responsibilities
Operate forklift to stack and retrieve goods, supplies, and materials.
Maintain inventory and keep the production area clean.
Document and maintain inventory records.
Remove product from containers on pallets.
Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery.
Adjust machine settings to complete tasks according to specification accurately and timely.
Know the purpose and follow proper operation of all safety switches, interlocks & safety devices.
Operate all machine controls (mechanical, electrical and pneumatic).
Monitor pattern forming of the cases on the palletizer.
Clear jams, re‑sequence the palletizer, and replace fallen cartons.
Properly change codes in the tagger computer.
Coordinate with the line driver so the correct pallets are available to the pallet dispenser.
Demonstrate proficiency in operating the palletizer.
Use the HMI (touch screen).
Be accountable for food safety, food quality and regulatory requirements for the position.
Notify management about actual or potential food safety issues.
Adopt and maintain all SQF requirements for the position.
Work with supervision to resolve food safety and food quality issues within scope of work.
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Education & Experience Minimum Required Qualifications
Six months experience in a manufacturing environment operating production equipment.
Six months forklift experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail oriented and able to multi‑task.
Excellent time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the food/beverage industry is a plus.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Frequent : Ability to talk and hear; stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 lbs; use hands and fingers to operate machinery and all manual and electronic equipment. Exposure to wet and humid conditions and seasonal temperature fluctuations.
Occasional : Squatting, kneeling, reach above shoulder height; wear dust mask; perform Confined Entry using LOTO program. Exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals.
Vision : Use close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision with or without correction. Detect obstacles and potential dangers in a fast‑paced production environment with high‑speed equipment and powered industrial lift equipment.
Hearing : Hear in normal audio range with or without correction. Exposure to noise levels from pumps, machinery, forklift traffic, bottle lines and exhaust fans.
