Assistant Manager Job Description Assistant Manager at Domino's is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day store operations, managing a team of store members, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high quality food and safety standards.

Job Requirements and Duties

You must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards as well as access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.

Possess navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within a designated delivery area and navigate adverse terrain including multi‑story buildings.

Operate all equipment.

Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk‑in cooler.

Prepare product.

Receive and process telephone orders.

Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.

Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.

Orientation and training provided on the job.

Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.

Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).

Must be able to make correct monetary change.

Verbal, written and telephone skills to take and process orders.

Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.

Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

Must navigate adverse terrain including multi‑story buildings, private homes and other delivery sites while carrying product.

Essential Functions / Skills

Control and oversee the operation of production and service equipment.

Use proper hand‑eye coordination for pizza and product preparation.

Ensure safety of equipment, food, and store environment.

Provide training as needed and maintain quality standards.

Work Conditions Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when delivering product, driving and couponing. In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F and above in some work areas. Sudden changes in temperature while working both inside and outside.

Physical Requirements

Standing: Most tasks performed from a standing position; walking surfaces include ceramic tile and linoleum.

Walking: Short distances and short durations; delivery personnel must travel between the store and delivery vehicle and from the delivery vehicle to the customer location.

Sitting: Paperwork normally completed in an office at a desk or table.

Lifting: Bulk product deliveries made twice a week or more, unloading with a hand truck; deliveries may include cases weighing up to 50 pounds. Cases stacked onto shelves up to 72 inches high.

Carrying: Large cans weighing 3 lb 7 oz; pizza sauce weighing 30 lb; trays of pizza dough (three at a time) weighing approximately 12 lb each.

Pushing/Pulling: Move trays placed on dollies; pushing requires up to 7.5 lb of force.

Climbing: Occasionally navigate stairs or ladder to change signs or perform maintenance. During delivery may navigate five or more flights of stairs.

Additional Information Forward bending at the waist at the pizza assembly station positions workers forward for 30‑45 seconds repeated continuously. Crouching and squatting performed occasionally for stocking shelves and cleaning low areas. Reaching occurs continuously—up, down, and forward—up to 72 inches. Driving requires delivering pizzas within a designated area, door hangers, and flyers. Valid driver's license, safe driving record and access to an insured vehicle for delivery are required.
