What You'll Do: Do you have experience performing grading work, including mass earthwork, loading hauling vehicles, grading for roads, curbs, walks, foundations, and other surfaces? If yes, read on!
Ensure the job meets all standards and specifications.
Ensure the job is performed following Ajax’s policies and procedures.
Train crew in specific duties to be performed.
Read plans and recognize discrepancies.
Ensure safe working conditions for the crew.
Properly maintain equipment.
Ensure effective communication between employees and supervisors.
Perform tasks properly and promptly.
Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Maintain records as required for grading operation.
Job Type: Full-time
What You'll Need:
A minimum of years’ experience performing grading work, including mass earthwork, loading hauling vehicles, grading for roads, curbs, walks, foundations, and other surfaces
Hands‑on motivated leader for the crew.
Demonstrate an ability to organize, control and manage all areas of the grading operation.
Knowledge of materials, equipment, methods, and techniques used in road construction.
Knowledge of possible defects and faults in work and of stages where such faults and defects are determined.
Ability to understand and interpret terms and specifications of contracts.
Ability to conduct effective grading inspections for compliance.
Ability to calculate figures and mathematical concepts.
Understanding of DOT and site projects.
Understand work orders and recognize discrepancies.
Compensation & Benefits:
Pay Range: $31 - $33 per hour
