Production Technician - On-Call Production Studio

Join our creative team and get hands‑on experience in the fast‑paced world of video and broadcast production. As an Assistant for Production, you’ll work side‑by‑side with studio staff, helping bring projects to life from start to finish.
You may find yourself setting up and striking lights, running cables, operating cameras, mixing audio, and preparing equipment for shoots – every day is a little different. You’ll also help keep our studio clean, organized, and ready for action.
This is an on‑call position with hours that vary depending on production schedules. Evening and weekend availability is often required, making it a great fit for those who thrive in a flexible, project‑based environment.
May operate studio and field cameras for live and recorded productions. Support lighting setup, focusing, and adjustments during shoots.
Assist in setting up and striking equipment for video and broadcast productions. Help transport, load, and unload gear for on‑location shoots. Run, secure, and manage cables to ensure safe and efficient setups.
May perform basic audio mixing for live and recorded events and assist with live event streaming, including setup and monitoring of streaming equipment. Provide general production support during rehearsals and events.
Maintain inventory of studio equipment and report repairs or replacements. Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with studio operational standards. Maintain an organized, clean, and production‑ready studio environment. Prepare and test all equipment prior to productions to ensure functionality.
Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
Ability to follow directions and work well in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines.
Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic understanding of video, audio, or lighting equipment (training provided).
Knowledge of general production techniques.
Skilled in the following activities: camera operation – grip/utility – audio mixing – setup/strike of equipment.
