Resident Maintenance Technician 4 – Kion Group AG The Resident Maintenance Technician 4 is responsible for daily troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of the Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV) at the Ontario, California, site location. Act as a senior technician, aiding and mentoring lower‑level employees on all Dematic-installed equipment.

Schedule: Monday to Friday (5 days, 8‑hour shifts). Shift time: 2 PM to 10:30 PM. Occasional overtime may be required.

The base pay range for this role is estimated at $32.50 to $43.95 per hour as of the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications What You Will Do In This Role

Repair, maintain, and clean AGVs, including vehicle calibrations, configuration/adjustment of replacement devices, and lubrication of components.

Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks and testing to ensure AGVs meet specifications.

Conduct hydraulic repairs and troubleshoot using hydraulic schematics.

Conduct electrical repairs and troubleshoot using electrical schematics (5 V to 480 V).

Troubleshoot industrial communication networks and devices.

Complete work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including relevant data such as labor hours, maintenance and repair notes, and charge parts used.

Order and maintain an accurate inventory of spare parts.

Troubleshoot sophisticated AGV problems and understand resources needed to resolve them.

Respond to operational support calls to assist operators with more sophisticated AGV faults. Provide training assistance to AGV operators as needed.

Proactively identify and resolve recurring problems using system reporting as part of the continuous improvement process.

Maintain accurate spare parts inventory using an inventory management system.

What We Are Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or equivalent experience is helpful. SpNichekill training/certification preferred.

Senior‑level knowledge in a technical or specialty area.

Proven experience in the area of responsibility and successful demonstration of the position and key tasks as presented above.

Ability to be customer‑facing while maintaining professional communications through email and in‑person conversations with onsite customer leadership, Dematic leadership, and technicians.

Responsible for leading projects, teams, and advising day‑to‑day operations and tasks to on‑site maintenance team.

Able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds each.

Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.

Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.

Able to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.

Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces.
