Obsidian is searching for a candidate for our client in the Twinsburg, Ohio area for the position of Maintenance Tech, 3rd shift.
Job Description Perform a wide variety of mechanical and electrical maintenance work of a skilled and complex nature. Installs, repairs, and maintains manufacturing equipment and plant facilities necessary for satisfactory operation of equipment and processes. This position is moderately physical.
Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic and combustion malfunctions and operating difficulties.
Determine repair procedures and implement those repairs that will be effective in preventing recurrence.
Navigate and interpret ladder logic in SLC 500, PLC 5, and Control Logix software to troubleshoot equipment faults.
Modify positions and diagnose problems on ABB robots: Models M94, M98, M2000, M2600, and M6700.
Install, move, and align new and existing equipment.
Set up and operate various types of machine shop equipment with moderate accuracy and efficiency.
Perform both gas and electric welding operations.
Complete related machine repair records, perform associated handling duties, and maintain a neat and orderly work area.
Perform all necessary preventive and proactive tasks on plant equipment.
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervision and/or designated team leader.
Skills Required
Navigate and interpret ladder logic in SLC 500, PLC 5, and Control Logix software.
Modify positions and diagnose problems on ABB robots: Models M94, M98, M2000, M2600, and M6700.
Perform both gas and electric welding operations.

Experience Required
4 years of related experience in Allen Bradley, hydraulics, robotics, and welding.

Education Required
Certificates or some college courses in technical or vocational subjects.
Shift timing: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
MUST HAVE
Certificates or some college courses in technical or vocational subjects.
4 years of experience in Allen Bradley, hydraulics, robotics, and welding.
Experience troubleshooting die casting machine cells using PLCs, electrical, and hydraulic schematics.
