Job Description
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a
Warehouse and Delivery Associate
for an HVACR wholesale distributor based in Knoxville, TN. This distributor has over 450 sites to service the entire US. This is a full‑time temporary‑to‑hire position.
Pay Rate $20.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday
Warehouse and Delivery Associate Duties and Responsibilities
Drive delivery truck or van to transport items to other stores or customer locations.
Assist with customer service and sales, including answering phones, greeting customers, and servicing the sales counter.
Load delivery vehicles and assist customers with will‑call pickups.
Process documentation necessary to ship inter‑store transfers and customer orders, including bills of lading, packing lists, and small parcel manifests.
Receive, process and store incoming product shipments.
Ensure shipments are inspected and damages or shortages are noted on trucking‑company delivery documents; initiate freight claim procedure when necessary.
Check incoming delivery contents against packing lists to verify accurate and complete delivery.
Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and other equipment.
Warehouse and Delivery Associate Qualifications and Requirements
F‑endorsement with a clean MVR.
Current DOT physical.
Experience driving a forklift and other equipment.
Basic computer skills, including knowledge of inventory management systems and office software.
Lift 50–75 lbs during the workday (an in‑office assessment will be given).
High school diploma or GED.
