Outreach & Payroll Specialist - Youth Workforce Programs

Duties and Responsibilities
Support with outreach and enrollment for WLG and SYEP
Ensure all participant documents are secured and updated on funder systems
Participate in all programs related internal audits and funder audits
Serve as the point person for community and program phone calls
Help ensure that Phipps Neighborhoods’ Workforce programs utilize best practices when conducting outreach activities, including serving as a resource to community members
Be and sounding board for community members, providing guidance and feedback, and developing an integrated outreach strategy.
Identify opportunities for improving effectiveness; ensure that the workforce department is following all regulatory and funder mandated compliance requirements.
Assist with the payroll administration and implementation for SYEP and WLG.
Manage a caseload of worksites to support with payroll troubleshooting and updates
Perform all tasks deemed necessary by the supervisor and Managing Director
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalency required
Bilingual in speaking English and Spanish preferred
Some experience working with young adults & DYCD programs preferred
Able to complete tasks and meet deadlines
Comfortable speaking over the phone and answering messages
Strong interpersonal, public speaking and relationship‑building skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders including program participants and staff.
Strong critical thinking, analytical, and technical problem‑solving skills are required. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds. Self‑directed and able to take initiative.
Ability to handle matters of confidentiality with utmost tact and diplomacy.
Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as outreach tables, chairs and boxes of outreach materials.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager and/or Managing Director.
