Job Description The purpose of this job is to ensure all building structures are in a safe, functioning, and presentable condition by performing routine building and grounds maintenance tasks.
Maintain buildings and structures; detect and report malfunctions or repair needs
Prioritize and schedule repairs from inspections, requests, and maintenance reports
Inspect, operate, or test systems to diagnose malfunctions
Ensure building interiors and exteriors are inspected for safety and maintenance issues; ensure buildings are up to code
Operate various hand, power, and specialty tools to assist with office reconfigurations, installs, and user accommodations
Diagnose minor electrical problems; install and rewire electrical components
Perform minor plumbing and carpentry maintenance
Assemble, move, and deconstruct pre-fabricated office equipment
Ensure exterior of buildings and gutters are free of debris and obstruction
Provide grounds keeping services; ensure sidewalks, entry ways and parking areas are cleared of debris, ice, and snow
Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent certificate required
Valid Tennessee state driver’s license required
HVAC certification required
Minimum two years’ experience with maintenance work preferred
Trade or vocational school preferred
Minimum one year’s experience in electrical and plumbing preferred
Minimum one year’s experience with operation of various hand, power and specialty tools including dollies and hand trucks preferred
Ability to collaborate and work as a member of a team
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in heavily populated areas during normal work hours
Travel required less than 5%
Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Able to bend, stoop and twist
Climb ladders up to heights of 20 feet
Exposure to a variety of weather conditions and temperatures
Able to operate electric and gas power tools
