Job Description
Fiber‑Coax splicer responsible for completing assigned duties in a timely and efficient manner by specified deadlines while safely operating appropriate equipment to achieve results as dictated by the scope of work and customer expectations while maintaining a high quality of work.
Essential Functions
Splice fiber optic cables including both loose tube and ribbon cables, including building fiber cases to customer specs.
Splice coax trunk and feeder cables with activation to customer standards.
Perform work in accordance with industry standards and following all customer design and spec.
Complete fiber documentation to customer specifications.
Perform bi‑directional OTDR testing, along with power meter testing and record splice losses.
Operate and perform daily inspection of aerial bucket trucks and ladder.
Attend safety meetings and follow safety rules while working.
Follow all rules and procedures in company handbook.
Perform night splicing and activation when needed.
Show flexibility to work on‑call rotation or emergency situations when needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility N/A
Work Environment Able to work in all non‑climate‑controlled environments and all‑weather conditions except for unsafe or extreme weather conditions.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work Flexibility to work beyond 40 hours per week, weekends, and on‑call rotation.
Travel Limited travel to other projects as needed.
Required Education and Experience 1–2 years of experience in cable TV field operations including cable/fiber construction splicing and activation.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Experience in fiber mid‑sheath entries/cuts.
This is a DOT regulated position and requires a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) to be obtained every year during employment and a DOT Physical every 1–2 years. A driver's license and DOT Medical Card is required.
