Job Overview Full Time live‑out Nanny required for a Brooklyn family with a young toddler (b. Dec 2024), starting in January 2026. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for all child related duties including providing nurturing care and interacting with their son in an engaging, loving and age‑appropriate way. To be successful, you will need to be experienced with toddler care, comfortable working with one parent present at home and looking to partner with parents who value good communication. The ideal candidate is able to complete light, child related housekeeping duties (laundry, meal preparation, organization, etc) and maintain all common areas in a clean and tidy state. The ability to work independently and show initiative with engaged wake windows and intentional activity planning is important to this role. This family is a great match for creative and energetic candidates who love exploring the diversity of the city and value culture and travel. French or Spanish fluency is required for this role.

Location South Slope, Brooklyn, NY (family friendly neighborhood + playgrounds/Prospect Park within walking distance) + Catskills, NY.

Start Date January 2026

Schedule Guaranteed 40 hours a week with general hours expected to land between 9am - 8pm. Candidates should expect 2 nights a week of a later start/end time (e.g., 11am-8pm to accommodate date nights, work events, etc). Flexibility as needed for additional evening or sporadic weekend hours is required. Ability to travel domestically and internationally with advance notice preferred (family has a second home in the Catskills).

Children One toddler son (born Dec 2024)

Compensation & Benefits Conditions: $30 - $35 per hour* (paid as a W2 employee + all hours over 40hr paid at 1.5 rate) plus unlimited monthly metrocard, sick/personal days, public holidays and at least two weeks paid leave per year. Family open to providing healthcare stipend for the perfect candidate. *dependent on experience.

Requirements

Authorization to work in the US

Clean drivers license (no city driving) strongly preferred (for independence while upstate); however family open to all strong candidates

At least 3-5 years experience working with families with young children (with long term tenure)

Well‑suited demeanor + recent experience working with toddler

Fluent in both written and spoken English and fluency in French or Spanish

Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, and high emotional intelligence

Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development

A flexible schedule and ability/interest to support a busy, dual working parent household

Comfortable with pets; family has a cat and a dog
