Radiologic Technologist – Full-Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
Location: Knoxville, TN
RemX is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join a busy, high-volume medical practice. This role is responsible for preparing, educating, and positioning patients to capture high-quality diagnostic images as directed by the provider.
Key Responsibilities
Conducts diagnostic radiographic exams in accordance with physician orders.
Utilizes DR imaging systems safely and efficiently.
Selects proper technical factors – including voltage, current, and exposure duration – to ensure optimal image quality.
Positions patients accurately to obtain the correct anatomical views.
Provides clear instructions to patients regarding procedural expectations and requirements.
Maintains up-to-date technique charts in compliance with state regulations.
Follows all infection control standards and safety protocols.
Supports radiology processes such as referrals, prior authorizations, and appropriate use guidelines.
Demonstrates professionalism, patience, and calm in high-stress situations.
Delivers excellent customer service to patients and collaborates effectively with clinical staff.
Qualifications
Preferred but not required:
At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in medical imaging.
Required:
Active ARRT certification.
Current Tennessee Medical X‑ray Operator’s License with full certification (when working in a medical office setting).
Solid understanding of DR equipment and PACS workflows.
