Job Description
Falcon Steel is looking for a skilled
Press Brake Operator
to join our precision fabrication team. This is a critical role responsible for forming high-quality steel components used in a variety of industrial applications. As an operator on our 1st shift, you will take the lead on complex bends, working closely with a material handler to maintain high production speeds while ensuring every angle meets our strict tolerance standards. We are looking for a "craftsman" mindset—someone who understands how metal behaves under pressure and takes pride in the accuracy of their work. Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation:
Set up and operate CNC hydraulic press brakes (e.g., Amada, Cincinnati, or Trumpf) to bend, notch, and form metal plates. Tooling & Setup:
Select, install, and align correct punches and dies based on material thickness and required radius. Technical Interpretation:
Read and interpret complex blueprints and 3D drawings to determine the correct bend sequence and dimensions. Quality Precision:
Perform "first-part" inspections and regular checks using calipers, protractors, and go/no-go gauges to maintain tolerances (often within +/- .015"). Maintenance:
Perform routine machine maintenance, including checking oil levels and cleaning the bed and tooling to ensure longevity and safety. Qualifications
Experience:
2–5 years of experience operating CNC Press Brakes in a production environment. Blueprint Literacy:
Proven ability to read structural and mechanical blueprints, including an understanding of bend deductions and flat patterns. Mathematical Proficiency:
Strong grasp of shop math, including geometry and decimals, to calculate proper bend sequences. Material Knowledge:
Understanding of how different materials (carbon steel, stainless, aluminum) react to forming, including "spring-back" adjustments. Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for 10-hour shifts and lift/manipulate large steel sheets in coordination with a helper. Schedule and Pay
Shift: Full-Time
1 st Shift 7-3:30pm OR 2 nd Shift 3pm-11:30pm
Pay:
$20+ depending on experience Benefits Offered:
Health Coverage:
Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans. Also offers a Health Saving Account (HSA). Retirement:
