Social Worker (2026-2027 School Year) Keystone Learning Services is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to support students' academic and social‑emotional learning during the 2026-2027 school year.

Purposes The school social worker assists students with academic and social‑emotional learning, identifies and addresses environmental issues that interfere with education, and serves as the home‑school liaison to enhance parental and community involvement in student success.

Essential Functions

Assess students' social and emotional needs and develop individualized plans of services to support educational objectives.

Assist students and families with referrals to outside service agencies (e.g., mental health, medical, prenatal care, counseling, job training).

Consult with teachers, parents, and personnel to assess student needs, develop service plans, and provide recommendations.

Counsel students, parents, and teachers to resolve issues that could impede student success.

Develop IEP goals and other written materials to establish strategies for student success.

Facilitate social work sessions (e.g., grief, stress, social thinking) to help attendees resolve issues and create positive change.

Maintain confidential and non‑confidential files and records to document activities and comply with required regulations.

Participate in meetings, workshops, and seminars (e.g., IEP, general education intervention meetings) to exchange information.

Prepare written materials (activity logs, correspondence, memos, intervention strategies, Medicaid billings, reports) for documentation and communication.

Respond to inquiries to resolve problems and provide information or referrals.

Act as liaison among students, agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate communication and ensure continuity of care.

Travel to multiple work sites to provide social services to students.

Provide crisis intervention services and serve on the Keystone crisis team.

Other Functions

Perform related duties as assigned to support efficient operations of the work unit.

Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications

Experience: Job‑related experience in a specialized field required.

Education: Master’s degree in a job‑related area.

Licensure: Required testing certificates and licenses.

Driver’s license and evidence of insurability.

Continuing education/training clearances.

Core Requirements – Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Facilitate meetings, analyze data, apply assessment instruments, and prepare accurate records.

Strong written and oral communication skills and proficiency in pertinent software applications.

Basic statistical, mathematical, and analytical skills.

Knowledge of disabilities, learning theories, human behavior, mental health, behavior interventions, laws, and community resources.

Ability to schedule activities, collaborate with diverse groups, maintain confidentiality, employ active listening, defuse confrontations, and work as part of a team.

Work Environment Physical demands include occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds, frequent stooping and kneeling, and 75% sitting, 20% walking, 5% standing. The role may involve exposure to risk of injury or illness.
