Responsibilities

Support a broad range of landlord‑tenant matters on behalf of community associations, cooperatives, condominiums, and commercial landlords

Prepare and manage default notices, petitions, court filings, notices, stipulations, and settlement documentation under attorney supervision

Coordinate case flow from intake through resolution, including calendaring, document management, and enforcement follow‑up

Interface regularly with courts, clients, property managers, and board members to obtain information, track case status, and facilitate next steps

Assist attorneys with Housing Court appearances, conferences, motion practice, and hearings, including preparation of court documents and exhibits

Participate in client meetings, board meetings, and internal case strategy discussions as needed

Qualifications

Prior experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in landlord‑tenant, real estate, or litigation matters

Familiarity with New York Housing Court procedures, filings, and case workflows is a plus

Experience working with landlords, property owners, cooperatives, condominiums, or community associations is preferred, but not required

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional interaction with clients, property managers, and court personnel

Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple matters simultaneously

Client‑focused, responsive, and reliable, with strong follow‑through

Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment

Compensation $70,000 +/- DOE
