2nd shift CNC Machine Operator

Rate $24.00 - $25.00/Hour
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines such as plasma cutters, beam drill lines, and angle lines to process structural steel components
Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine job specifications
Load and secure steel beams, plates, and other materials using overhead cranes and rigging equipment
Monitor machine operation, making adjustments for accuracy and quality as needed
Use precision measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares to verify tolerances
Perform basic programming edits or adjustments to accommodate different material sizes or thicknesses
Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery to ensure reliable operation
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with OSHA and shop safety protocols
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred
2+ years of CNC machine operation in a structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret structural steel shop drawings
Skilled in using precision measurement tools
Experience with overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
