Job Opportunity: Mechanic
Location: Norfolk, VA
Pay: $20.00 – $30.00/hr
Schedule: Full-Time, Contract | 50–70 hrs/week | Up to 7 days/week (Overtime Required)
About the Role We are seeking skilled Mechanics to support industrial and marine projects in Norfolk, VA. This role is hands‑on, requiring strong mechanical aptitude to maintain, repair, and support shipyard and industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general mechanical work, including assembly, disassembly, maintenance, and repair.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to complete tasks.
Assist with installation, inspection, and troubleshooting of systems.
Collaborate with team members and follow supervisor instructions.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards.
Requirements
Mechanical aptitude and hands‑on repair skills.
Industrial or marine mechanical experience preferred.
Ability to read/follow technical instructions and safety procedures.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and at heights.
Must be available to work 50–70 hours per week, up to 7 days per week.
