Break Press Operator / Fabricator (Temp to Hire)

at our location in Pflugerville, TX. Must be able to work Mon‑Fri 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. We offer a positive culture where every employee’s unique expertise contributes to our success.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Must be able to read engineering/specification drawings to obtain information regarding the fabricating of components.

Set-up and operate fabricating machinery, such as turret punch press, manual & robotic brake press, CNC Mill and CNC Lathe, or other similar fabrication equipment.

Certified to shop standards in at least two of the following pieces of equipment: punch press, brake press, robot welder, mill, and lathe.

Verify conformance of parts to specifications, using precision measuring equipment.

Conduct oneself professionally through appearance and conduct.

Respond to work orders in a timely manner with emphasis on operation accuracy & support.

Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Education and/or Experience High school diploma/GED with relevant years of sheet metal experience required. Technical degree preferred.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Able to communicate effectively and work well as a member of a team.

Must be able to pay attention to detail.

Requires the use of shop mathematics, geometry and trigonometry.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time, often doing repetitive motions.

Physical Demands And Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, talk or hear, and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk, and to use hands repetitively. The employee must occasionally lift 45 pounds to waist level and 30 pounds to shoulder height. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
