About the Role
The Company is in search of a Deputy Head of Investment Accounting to join their team. This senior leadership role is pivotal in supporting the Head of Investment Accounting and requires a candidate with a collaborative leadership style, strong technical expertise in insurance investment accounting, and a proven track record of leading teams through change. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing complex investment accounting processes, ensuring accurate and timely statutory and US GAAP reporting, and driving finance transformation initiatives to modernize accounting processes, data governance, and reporting.
Applicants for the Deputy Head of Investment Accounting position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with a CPA strongly preferred. A minimum of 10 years of accounting or audit experience, including significant expertise in insurance investment accounting under US GAAP and statutory reporting, is required. The role also demands at least 5 years of management experience in a complex, regulated environment, and familiarity with data tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Alteryx is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated success in finance transformation or system implementation projects, possess strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills, and be adept at delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
