About the Role

The Company is in search of a strategic Vice President of DevOps to take the lead in global infrastructure, reliability, platform engineering, and cloud operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the high availability, security, performance, and cost optimization of B2B and B2C financial news and data products. This role demands a leader who can define and execute enterprise DevOps strategy, manage a global team, and ensure operational excellence. Key responsibilities include driving the DevOps vision, leading global teams in SRE, platform engineering, infrastructure, and release management, and fostering a culture of automation and continuous improvement. The VP will also be tasked with overseeing the design and maintenance of low-latency systems, standardizing tools, and ensuring robust disaster recovery and incident response practices.

Applicants for the VP of DevOps role at the company should have a minimum of 12 years' of engineering experience, with at least 8 years' in DevOps, infrastructure, or SRE leadership. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in scaling DevOps practices in high-traffic, data-driven environments and possess deep expertise in modern cloud-native operations, including hybrid cloud, containerization, and IaC. Strong knowledge of observability, monitoring, and incident management practices is essential, as is experience with FinOps and driving cost optimization. The role requires an individual with exceptional executive presence, communication skills, and the ability to influence at the highest levels. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with an advanced degree being preferred. The VP will be expected to lead the transformation to modern CI/CD pipelines, drive the adoption of AI-driven operations, and ensure transparent reporting on operational KPIs.
