About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director of Clinical Development with a focus on oncology. The successful candidate will be tasked with providing both strategic and operational leadership across oncology clinical programs, particularly in the shaping and execution of clinical development strategies for solid tumor indications. Key responsibilities for this role include leading the clinical development strategy and its execution to ensure alignment with scientific, regulatory, and business objectives, overseeing clinical trial design, conduct, and data interpretation, and serving as a senior clinical leader in cross-functional governance and decision-making. The role also involves driving interactions with global health authorities and external investigators, as well as partnering closely with various internal functions to advance programs efficiently.
Applicants must have an MD with a minimum of 10 years' experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or academic clinical development, with a preference for those who are board-certified oncologists. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading oncology clinical development programs across multiple phases, deep knowledge of GCP, ICH, and global regulatory requirements, and experience in leading health authority interactions. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential, as is the ability to analyze and interpret clinical data to inform strategic decisions. The role also requires experience in contributing to or authoring clinical development strategies and governance materials, as well as a publication record in peer-reviewed journals. Preferred experience includes involvement in registration-enabling strategies, regulatory submissions, and the ability to represent clinical development perspectives in senior-level forums.
