The Company is in search of an Executive Director to lead and direct its community land trust organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and strengthening stakeholder relationships with government, philanthropic, non-profit, and business partners, as well as culturally specific communities. This role involves leading the organization in both short and long-range development planning to ensure a strong homeownership pipeline for the community. The Executive Director will also be at the forefront of organizational leadership, real estate and land development, fundraising, and fiscal management, and will play a key role in community relations, membership, and advocacy.
Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a BA degree or equivalent work experience in non-profit organizations, with a preference for those who live on the island. The role requires the ability to work independently, lead and direct a non-profit agency, and have a successful track record in grant writing and major donor cultivation. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in housing development, community development, or planning, as well as in financial oversight. Proficiency in web-based communications, social media, and various computer software programs is essential. A valid WA State Driver’s License and a vehicle for work travel are also necessary for this position.
