About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its community-anchored LGBTQ+ center. The ideal candidate will be a courageous and operationally skilled leader, capable of steering the organization towards stability, cultural cohesion, and expanded community impact. This role is pivotal in reinforcing the organization's financial stability, strengthening program operations, and building the internal infrastructure necessary for growth, particularly in the face of a shifting political landscape for LGBTQ+ and trans communities. The CEO will be responsible for deepening organizational clarity, nurturing a warm and cohesive culture, and elevating the center's role as a trusted community anchor.
The successful CEO will be a values-led, trauma-informed, and systems-building leader, with the ability to pair strategic vision with operational execution. They must be deeply relational, visible within community spaces, and bring the clarity, direction, and steadiness needed to strengthen internal systems, develop staff, enhance partnerships, and guide the organization with integrity. While knowledge of the local community is an asset, the search is open to candidates from outside the area who demonstrate the humility, cultural fluency, and curiosity to learn from the community the center serves. The role is a unique opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of LGBTQ+ and trans individuals, and to contribute to the vital work of the organization in the areas of health, housing, food justice, and mutual aid.
