About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its AI Science team, a pivotal role in leading the design and execution of high-impact AI and data science initiatives. The successful candidate will be a senior technical leader, responsible for driving enterprise-critical projects, setting technical direction, and mentoring a small team of data scientists. Key responsibilities include leading flagship AI/ML projects that deliver measurable value, acting as a technical authority on advanced AI methods, and ensuring the translation of complex business challenges into data science solutions with tangible ROI. The role also involves close collaboration with senior executives to align AI initiatives with strategic priorities and representing the company in external technical forums and partnerships.
Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' of experience in data science or machine learning, with a proven track record of delivering enterprise-impact projects. Deep technical expertise in advanced machine learning, causal inference, deep learning, and statistical modeling is essential, as is hands-on experience with Python (or R), cloud-based platforms, and modern ML frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a Master's or PhD in a related discipline and a background that includes mentoring or leading high-performing teams. Preferred qualifications include experience with Palantir platforms, establishing standards for responsible AI, and familiarity with emerging technologies such as vector databases and LLM application frameworks.
