About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Fundraising and Community Development. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and management of short and long-term strategies to create and maintain cost-effective sources of revenue and community engagement. This role is pivotal in meeting multi-million-dollar annual revenue targets and requires a hands-on approach to fundraising, including the management of local Executive Directors, development staff, and volunteer leadership councils. The Executive Director will be a key player in the cultivation and acquisition of major donors, foundation, and corporate contributions, and will serve as the primary staff spokesperson to promote the organization's mission within the state(s).

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7-10 years' experience in fundraising, special events, and team management, with at least 5 years' specifically in fundraising and overseeing significant revenue. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record in closing face-to-face sales and sponsorships, strong volunteer recruitment and management skills, and the ability to build and maintain strategic relationships. The Executive Director will be expected to work closely with the national development and marketing teams, establish annual development plans, and ensure a high return on investment in meeting revenue targets. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential, as is the willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed.
