About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Financial Services to serve as a senior financial leader and strategic partner with hospital leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing the organization's mission through fiscal stewardship and operational insight. This includes leading the development of the hospital-specific operating budget, ensuring alignment with system-wide initiatives, and interpreting financial data to support decision-making and performance improvement. The role also involves collaboration with clinical, service line, and administrative leaders to analyze trends, investigate variances, and identify opportunities for efficiency and margin enhancement.
Key responsibilities for the VP of Financial Services at the company include strategic financial leadership, budgeting, financial reporting and analysis, collaboration with shared services, financial planning, capital planning, and oversight of grants and development. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with a Master’s degree preferred, and a minimum of 10 years' experience in progressive financial leadership within healthcare. Essential skills for this role include a deep understanding of healthcare finance and reimbursement, strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a collaborative leadership style, and a commitment to the organization's mission and values. The VP will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with financial standards, regulations, and internal policies, and for leading and developing a high-performing finance team.
