About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Finance and Operations Officer (CFO/COO) to join its team. This strategic and mission-driven leader will play a pivotal role in the organization's modernization and growth, ensuring that financial and operational systems align with the company's mission and strategic goals. The CFO/COO will be responsible for overseeing finance, accounting, risk management, and compliance, as well as leading operations across HR, IT, facilities, and administration. A key aspect of the role is to partner with the CEO, Board Finance and Endowment Committees, and senior leadership to strengthen financial infrastructure, enhance transparency, and build capacity for sustainable growth.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial leadership, with experience in accrual-based financial systems and a strong desire for those with experience in cash-to-accrual transitions. Strong communication skills, strategic vision, and the ability to balance long-term planning with day-to-day execution are essential. While experience in the non-profit sector is desired, it is not required. The CFO/COO will be expected to champion the company's values of integrity, inclusivity, and innovation, and to demonstrate a collaborative leadership style that fosters trust and accountability. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with an MBA or CPA being highly desirable.
