About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for E&O Claims with a strong background in legal analysis, insurance coverage, and risk mitigation. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive support in the management and resolution of E&O claims across internal business units. This role demands the ability to navigate complex claims, advocate for optimal client outcomes, and consult on risk management issues. The individual will also be involved in maintaining detailed reporting and documentation throughout the claims lifecycle, supporting litigation teams, and ensuring that the best possible outcomes for clients are achieved in accordance with service standards.
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, a minimum of 5 years' in a related claims role, and a strong knowledge of claim and coverage issues. Excellent communication skills, the ability to use business-related software, and a proactive, problem-solving approach are essential. Preferred qualifications include recognized insurance designations, a Juris Doctor (JD), and admission to a state bar association in good standing. The role requires a candidate with a deep understanding of the lines of coverage within the area of responsibility, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage a diverse and large workload while meeting deadlines. The ideal candidate will be a fast-paced fixer, an empathetic expert, and an outcomes driver, with a proven track record of demonstrating advanced problem resolution skills and the ability to manage and communicate issues for key accounts.
