About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Field Development to lead and drive the organization's fundraising efforts at the local level. This pivotal role involves creating and implementing a cohesive development and donor stewardship plan that aligns with the national fundraising strategy and meets annual revenue goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall strategy and total revenue raised in the field, providing strategic direction and hands-on support across various revenue streams, and ensuring regional teams are equipped to build strong partnerships with local corporate and foundation donors. The VP will also serve as a strategic advisor, fostering a culture of philanthropy, and activating relationships with the Regional Advisory Council to enhance giving opportunities.
The ideal candidate for the Vice President, Field Development position at the company will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in strategic philanthropy, with a proven track record of leading diverse fundraising teams and meeting revenue targets. Close alignment with the mission to support military and veteran families is essential. The role requires a leader with a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), experience in change management, and a strong background in donor activation and stewardship. Familiarity with securing in-kind gifts and experience in a military or veteran service organization are also key qualifications. The VP will be expected to work remotely, and the position demands a high level of cross-functional leadership, strategic partnership building, and a focus on the organization's mission and fundraising goals.
