About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic leadership and oversight of all financial operations. The CFO will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, and reporting, as well as managing investments and ensuring appropriate financial controls. This role involves coordinating the development of institutional operating budgets, integrating budget formulation with senior leaders, and overseeing the administration of the approved budget. The CFO will also be involved in the development of legislative appropriations requests and must ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in business administration or a related field, with a preference for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, and at least 10 years' experience in finance and administration. Experience in higher education finance, particularly in public universities in Texas, is highly valued. The CFO will be expected to have a proven track record in leading complex projects, exceptional analytical and decision-making skills, and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
